For those who wish to bring the Imagination Library to their community need only click the “Start A Program” link for a guided tour of how to get started. There, potential new program champions can view informational videos, gather appropriate submission forms, download helpful documents and presentations, and also meet their Regional Director. The brand new “Cost Estimator Tool” references Census data, custom Google Maps, and an algorithm to generate startup costs along with a 5-year projection of costs and program growth to provide even more information for startups.

In 2011, online registration rates for the Imagination Library doubled. Now, a new and improved online registration process cuts the time in half with a priority on accuracy. Using custom API partnerships and programming, the website can now check for duplication of a child’s information, eligibility, and even verify the address to assure book delivery – all this before information is ever submitted!

Spotlight Champions

There is now much deserved attention given to those going above and beyond for their community. From the homepage or any country’s main page, view the Champion’s Spotlight. From there, check out the affiliate’s profile, use an interactive map of their coverage area, link to their social networks, view contact information, and meet their regional director. For some champions, you can even donate directly to them!

A “Chalkboard Ticker” was installed on the site’s homepage to show a real-time update of the number of registrants in each country. The Google Translate feature is now available for quick language translation. Finally, a brand new Tool Bar makes sharing Imagination Library across social networks a breeze (currently only available for United States). The Tool Bar feature is in BETA testing, but once finalized can be added to affiliate pages with one simple line of code.

Will Belkin iPad2 Keyboard Case put ClamCase out of the game?

When we got our first few iPads, of course, like everyone else, we were thrilled! We were even more thrilled to hear about the ClamCase for the iPad. We ordered several and waited months for them to arrive. When they were delivered, we all scrambled to rip open the boxes and get our new toys out to play.
Sadly, every person in the office unanimously agreed that we had just been suckered!
The ClamCase was an awful, cheap, plastic excuse for a product. Not only did it NOT work, it simply cheapened the professional, sleek appearance of the beautiful Apple iPad.
So when we got our new iPad 2s in, not a soul in the office even considered the ClamCase for iPad2 BUT NOW we see this beautiful product on USA Today called the iPad2 Keyboard Case made by a company we already know and trust, Belkin.
We will be ordering this product right away and will let you know how that turns out for us before you spend your money.

Competition for Apple's iPad just bit the dust!

It would seem as though Apple has had one helluva week, excluding the huge loses Apple stock holders have suffered this week, the news that HP just killed its tablet is bound to help drive those stocks right back up come Monday.
As an avid Apple lover, stock holder and overall Apple Geek, I am very happy to hear this although i will admit that once HP slashed their tablet prices to $99 I did try to snatch a few but with no luck.

iPhone 4 HOME button has issues

Since Apple's latest OS updates the iPhone 4 is having major issues with the HOME button.

Users are reporting having to click multiple times just to get back to their home screen and many times that too doesn't work which forces a hard restart.

We love our "Apple Toys" and hope this latest issue is resolved soon.

We are all still a bit bitter about having to have our unit in a case to avoid loss of signal ;-/ but overall it's still the best phone out there by far!

Eagle Eye in the Sky!

Jacob Timmons has been busy shooting new aerial photography and video with their fleet of helium balloons and blimps, each known as the "EagleEye in the Sky."

S.D. Professionals, LLC owns three blimps of various sizes, plus designed and piloted the world’s first small scale remote controlled Goodyear Blimp with wireless HD Video transmission, used in 2008 for the Goodyear dealer tradeshow in Grapevine, Texas. Producing images which are catered to the personal needs of his client, Timmons can photograph practically any site or event using high quality, high resolution, high definition, unique and cost effective equipment.

With custom remote control cameras and aerial high definition video, S.D. Professionals, LLC gathers media in a spectacular way that no ordinary photographers can duplicate. Flying high over the restrictions and distractions of normal sight lines, the sophisticated balloon offers far better quality than a shaky helicopter ride and is much more affordable than the conventional practice of aerial shots with the high-wind, high noise, high altitude helicopters and single engine planes.

"We've been taking aerial shots for years, but we've been using helicopters. And the price of gas goes up, so the price of the helicopter ride goes up," said Timmons. "Needless to say, helium is cheaper than helicopter fuel these days plus we have devised a Green-Solution which allows us to reuse our helium time and time again.

Awarded with a BRONZE TELLY and named "People's Choice" for 2010, this multi-media company continues to shine!

S.D. Professionals, LLC had introduced a "spokesbear," to represent the Park Grill Steakhouse. To do this, they used Green Screen Technology which allowed them to take raw video footage of this beautiful black bear and develop a new marketing concept for the Gatlinburg restaurant, while producing a visually stunning advertisement. Music for the commercial was provided by Emmy Award winner and composer, Velton Ray Bunch.

Sevierville Web Design Company meets flood relief challenge

Funds raised by Dolly, Dollywood, Dixie Stampede and S.D. Professionals' online campaign, specifically earmarked by Parton to help devastated families restore and renovate.

Dolly Parton presented $250,000, in Nashville to Mayor Karl Dean and United Way representatives, with the money specifically designated by Parton to aid Nashville-area flood victims who are restoring and rebuilding in the flood’s aftermath.

After much consideration, Parton decided to donate the funds raised during her Dolly Helps Nashville event on May 22 and 23 to the United Way’s Restore the Dream Fund. The donation includes net admission proceeds from Parton’s Dollywood and Dixie Stampede properties in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., as well as fan contributions to DollyParton.com.

“My husband took me to see the damage done by the flooding, and I was absolutely unprepared for what I saw,” Parton said. “I knew right then and there that something had to be done to get those families who’d lost everything back in their homes. And that’s what the mayor, the other Karl Dean, and the United Way have so graciously agreed to help me do. Get this money to those folks who are hurting the most.”

The United Way’s Restore the Dream Fund was established to assist nonprofit organizations throughout Middle Tennessee recover and resume operations in the event of a natural or man-made disaster. The fund is managed and administered by United Way of Metropolitan Nashville. The Restore the Dream Fund will specifically work with Family Resource Centers to meet the needs of those hardest hit. In addition, none of Parton’s contribution will be used to cover the agency’s administrative fees.

Parton also challenged area East Tennessee businesses to join the effort which was met by S.D. Professionals, the company that designed DollyParton.com and facilitated online donations.

“I know that it’s going to take a lot of effort and hard work and money to reverse the damage,” Parton added. “I know, too, that folks in Nashville have been great supporters of Dollywood and Dixie Stampede, so I wanted to let them know that we understand that they are suffering, and we’re here to help like good neighbors should. As my Dollywood theme park marks its 25th anniversary this season, we’re celebrating the dreamer in everybody. Downtown Nashville has been ten feet underwater since flood over the weekend. On Sunday, May 2nd, as much as 13 inches of rain water collected by 8:30 in the evening, the highest amount of water to be ever recorded, making the event one of the worst storms ever experienced in years. The flood is now moving through Tennessee, due to a significant amount of rain that fell into watersheds downstream of Nashville, and other communities are also likely to experience water damage this week. Thousands were evacuated and sheltered in places like the Shrine Temple, which can house 300 people, Bellevue Middle School and the Lipscomb University’s student activities building. Road transport is impossible due to the temporary road closures ordered by officials who are trying their best to solve transportation around the area.

The Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management is encouraging residents who want to volunteer to sign up through Hands On Nashville. Register at http://www.hon.org/. The city expects approved volunteer opportunities to be available by mid-week. As of Monday afternoon, more than 3,200 people had registered, said Brian Williams, executive director of Hands On Nashville.

The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management, is collecting donations to support flood relief, restoration and clean-up efforts in Davidson County through the Metro Nashville Disaster Response Fund. It has also activated its Tennessee Emergency Response Fund to help communities in need beyond Davidson County. Donations can be made online to both funds at www.cfmt.org/floodrelief

The Nashville Area Red Cross also is accepting donations to support its relief efforts of the flooding victims. There are volunteers with the American Red Cross of Northeast Tennessee going into neighborhoods offering food and other supplies like cleaning kits to those who need them. S.D. Professionals, LLC voted "People's Choice" for the 2010 Telly Awards!

Congratulations are in order for Jacob Timmons and the crew of S.D. Professionals, LLC in Sevierville, Tennessee who were recently named "People's Choice" for the 2010 Telly Awards!
This prestigious award was voted on by both the elite panel of Telly judges and by You-Tube viewers across the world.

"We are extremely excited since this was our first RED ONE 4K production at Dollywood and our first time being up for a Telly Award. Then to take home the award, well that for us is simply incredible. We definitely want to send a special thanks to the Telly judges and to the wonderful people who took the time to vote for us!" said Jacob Timmons, President of S.D. Professionals, LLC.

Timmons, along with his hand selected industry professionals, recorded the live performance of Dollywood's original gospel quartet, the Kingdom Heirs, in the Showstreet Palace Theatre. Celebrating their 25th Anniversary this year at Dollywood's Adventure Park in Pigeon Forge, TN, the Kingdom Heirs deliver world-class entertainment in “Live At Dollywood.” The entire show was captured using S.D. Professional's new RED ONE 4K cameras and then edited to both SD and HD video.
In the past, to shoot a live production would require multiple video cameras as well as still camera photographers to capture moments for print collateral needs such as album covers, posters, and more. Shooting with the new RED ONE 4K cameras, S.D. Professionals was able to record amazing 4K quality video while simultaneously capturing every second of the performance in high resolution still images (up to 60 high resolution stills per second) which were then used to design all print collateral.

While launching its newest endeavor, TheSmokies.TV LIVE BROADCAST, S.D. Professionals, LLC, captured the entire 24th Annual Dolly Parton Parade in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee on their newest equipment addition, the RED ONE 4K camera. This special event began with the grand entrance of The Ambassador to The Smokies, Dolly Parton herself, and an exclusive interview, conducted by local radio personality, Tammy Kelly. Cheering fans of all ages, proud residents in Dolly's hometown of Sevier County, as well as members of her security staff and management team are all captured in this interview that was streamed live to the world simultaneously on private laptops, personal home computers and other mobile devices. TheSmokies.TV is a new media web broadcasting channel created by S.D. Professionals, LLC that features exciting entertainment and other newsworthy moments within the Great Smoky Mountain area, such as Celebrity Appearances, Craft Fairs, Rod Runs, Holiday Celebrations, Community Functions, Sports Events, Traditional Festivals and much more.

This new media created major interest with global fans of the music legend, who "clicked" to watch the parade and other entertainers who were also featured throughout the broadcast. As Dolly Parton continues to make headlines S.D. Professionals, LLC is there to capture each local story as it unfolds.

CNN International approached S.D. Professionals, LLC and asked if they would share this exciting footage of Dolly Parton as a contribution for the "REVEALED" video on CNN International. The singer-songwriter tells CNN about her dedication to her image and how she worked her way from a small country town to the world stage. "I always thought when I was young, if I ever made it -- and I hoped I would, and dreamed that I would -- I thought I would love to be able to come home and do something special to honor my family," she said. "You always want your people to be proud of what you have accomplished." Parton told CNN she's accomplished everything that she set out to do and she has no plans to ever step out of the spotlight.

Evolution LA, Suzetta’s agent, ensures her happiness and comfort around the clock by having any production done at her home so she never has to be moved to any other location which could cause her to be stressed.
