Tech Reviews: Canon Announces EOS 7D Upgrade

Welcome to another installment of Tech Reviews with SD Professionals. Right now we want to highlight some great news from photography / videography giant, Canon!

Today, Canon released the newest firmware update for the EOS 7D! There’s a long list of new features with Version 2.0.X, including:

  • Higher Maximum Burst Rate
  • GPS Compatibility
  • Manual Audio Level Adjust
  • Max Limit for ISO Auto

and more!

Canon EOS 7D Update Now Available!

For SD Professionals, we are really excited about the improvements for the sound quality of the camera. Previously, the Auto Gain Control (AGC) would adjust itself based on the noises in the room or on set. So sometimes, you’re picking up unwanted ambient noise. Now, we can set the sensitivity settings on the AGC to give us higher quality, audio free from the noise that used to water it down. Our team is ready to do more shooting, and less editing!

And that’s just one of the all-new enhancements we’re excited about with Version 2.0.X. Click Here to see a side-by-side comparison with predecessor Version 1.X.X. What are you waiting for? The Next Evolution of the EOS 7D is here!
